All members must behave maturely, politely and intelligently when speaking to others OOC. You need to understand the difference between OOC and IC actions.
All members must obey all the rules at all times – we have zero tolerance for cheating or exploiting.
All members are required to remain in character in the game at all times. Roleplay can be done through both voice and text. OOC must be defined by brackets. ()
Members of the community should have appropriately named characters that suit the setting and the race chosen.
Metagaming and god-modding are frowned upon. Just don't do it.
Global chat is DISABLED.
Local chat is restricted to realistic ranges for normal conversation/communication.
Hyborian naming conventions should be used. Anyone using a OOC/Offensive name will be warned once to recreate their character. Refusal will result in a ban.
PvP & Base Raiding Rules
All members must give 12 hours notice before they raid other large scale community forts or clan holdings.
Members of the community must use realistic methods of base building and protection. Nonsensical designs will be destroyed by staff.
Members may not build structures that block access to public areas such as open world dungeons, caves, or other landmarks.
Killing on sight is NOT ALLOWED. Bandits and brigands may be able to attack on sight, but only during events.
Dying in the game represents your character being defeated. You must wait 1 hour before returning to your body/resources during PvP.
Night & Day Times: 0.5 - Days & Nights last much longer for a more realistic time cycle.
Combat Experience: 0.8 - This is Blackmoor, every day you survive is another day to learn. Prove to yourself and others that you deserve to see the sunrise.
Crafting Experience: 0.5 - We don't want to punish crafters, especially would-be smiths and armorers. Craft and let others marvel at your works.
Passive Experience: 0.5 - Slower passive experience points, you must be active in the world to achieve great things.
NPC Damage: 1.8 - Beasts, cultists, and the unknowable shadows that lurk within the Savage lands are dangerous. To travel alone is to invite death.
NPC Health: 1.8 - To bring down a beast one must use cunning, strategy, and perhaps most importantly, have a strong sword arm.
Player's Stamina Costs: 0.8 - Strike only when necessary. When you see an opening, take it and end the battle as quickly as possible.
Global Chat - Has been removed. Players will need to find and communicate with others while exploring the game.
Local & Voice Chat - Are the primary forms of communication. You never know who you can trust so take care when dealing with others.
